Looking for the perfect gift for the person in your life who is obsessed with travel? Look no further! These are great items to inspire travel or to help aide someone who is about to hit the road.
Scratch Off Posters
Scratch off posters have become very popular recently, so there are a lot of options to choose from. The classic scratch off map is my favorite and you can customize them for countries, the United States, or the entire globe! They also have National Park scratch off maps, 100 Places to See Before You Die, and many more.
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are perfect for anyone who is trying to pack light for their next trip. They come in various sizes and allow for you to organize your clothes into tight compartments to help save space in your suitcase. Eagle Creek is one of my favorite brands for packing cubes. I have the ones shown below but there are tons of other shapes and sizes!
Portable Charger
This is a must have when traveling! I found this came in so handy when you're on the road, especially if you like taking lots of pictures. Even if you're in a car or on a tour bus, the outlets are not guaranteed to work so it's nice to have a backup plan. Then you don't have to fight others to get an outlet.
Travel Adapter
Speaking of outlets, if you know someone who is planning to travel abroad, an adapter is a great gift. I think the universal adapters are the best bang for your buck since no other attachments are needed. However there are also adapters that have both plugs and USB ports for charging multiple devices at once.
Travel Books
There are so many travel books out there including memoirs, photo books, and travel guides! Rick Stephens has thousands of travel books out there for almost every country in the world with tips on where to stay, what to do, where to eat, and the best ways to get around. Photo books such as The Bucket List or Lonely Planet's Ultimate Travelist are also greta to inspire trips around the world. There are so many famous travel memoirs out there to help inspire wanderlust in anybody. Some of my favorites include Eat, Pray, Love, Under the Tuscan Sun, On the Road, and The Good Girl's Guide to Getting Lost. To see other great book ideas check out my post specific to this here.
Personalized Luggage Tags
An easy but thoughtful gift! Every traveler has to have a luggage tag so why not get a personalized one. Websites like Shutterfly allow you to personalize with pictures, but you can also find tons of travel related luggage tags online.
Travel Shadow Boxes
This is a great DIY gift that I recently discovered on Pinterest and there are so many variations you can take. For example, you can create "Been There/Done That" travel piggybank where the traveler can drop tickets, maps, guides, and more!
Travel Journal
I love collecting journals with travel themes so I can use them for planning for my next trips and also for reflecting on past travels. Again, you can find so man different types of travel journals online, some more intricate than others.
Travel Inspired Jewelry
I recently got a necklace that has a compass on it and I wear it everywhere! It helps remind me to travel anyway that I can, whether in my own hometown or across the globe. There are also many charm necklaces out there that you can add rings to it for each place you have traveled!
GoPro and Accessories
Obviously GoPro's are not cheap gifts but if your shopping for a traveler who loves to take photos and videos, this gift can go a long way! GoPro's are the best camera for travel since they are small and can be easily packed. They are also perfect for various adventures because they have waterproof cases and have tons of accessories to strap the camera anywhere!
